Symptoms of Common Hydraulic Problems and Their Root Causes

When fluid moves from an area of high pressure to an area of low pressure without performing useful work (pressure drop), heat is generated. This means that any component that has abnormal internal leakage will increase the heat load on the system. This could be anything from a cylinder that is leaking high-pressure fluid past its piston seal.

Proper Operation of the HST+ transmission

Proper Operation of the HST+ transmission. The HST Plus transmission can be set to operate as follows: 1. Stall Guard-Automatically compensate for loads generated by terrain and operating conditions, thus prevents engine stall out.. 2. Hydro Dual Speed

 · If you aren't careful about the different meanings of "high" and "low" gears, you may run into some communication problems, since a high gear ratio is actually designated by a low number. For example, a 4.40:1 final drive is actually lower than a 3.70:1 gear.

450c Transmission issues

 · Matt, I would bet pretty good money the problem will be in the manifold inside your tranny on top when you pull the top cover off. this manifold directs the oil to the range you select with the HLR shifter.your pumps ok because you are developing 175psi then when you shift to reverse the pressure drops, pressure is to low to fully engage clutches but they are trying to engage but are slipping.

Fault Analysis Of Loader Hydraulic Transmission System From External Characteristics Aug 07, . When the ZL40 loader hydraulic transmission system works, the gear pump inhaled the low pressure oil through the filter net from the oil pan, and the high pressure oil pumped through the filter is filtered into the variable speed distribution valve.

Crawler Loader/Dozer Common Faults

 · Hello Alrman. I have an B loader. I do not have low range on right side track. I have changed the steel rings in the cover. I have also swapped high and low hoses to verify the valve body is functioning. My pressure gauge drops real low and fluctuates when put in track low. I'm pretty sure the seals are blown on the clutch pack.

Please Help !?!? Case 450 Dozer Shifting Hard from Low to

 · I'v got a case 450 crawler/dozer/loader in great shape. I was running her around the farm this last weekend and out of no where she started shifting hard ( banging into gear) when going from low to high or high to low. Even at idle when I put it into low gear to move forward it has a slight hit when going into gear.

transmission not shifting and the rpm's keep climbing up

It seems that the gears are slipping and causing the rpm's to climb up. Check the transmission fluid and make sure that it's full and red in color. Very dark red or black transmission fluid is an indication that the transmission is burning the fluid for getting too hot from either overloading or slipping gears. Top off the fluid if it's low.
